Paste these on Nextdoor — Texas neighbors, not a blast ad
Six short drafts for neighborhood feeds and comments. October tax-bill shock is the hook. The product mention stays soft: a $99/year DIY evidence packet, you file, no promised savings. Copy, post only where you live, then checkout if you want the packet.
KeepTheCut is document prep. The owner files. We are not a registered property-tax consultant under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1152. These drafts are not reviews and not results. KeepTheCut has no paid-customer testimonials to quote. Do not invent a savings number.
How to post
Neighborly. One neighborhood. No spam.
Post only in a Nextdoor area you actually live in.
Prefer a real question or a short reply on an existing tax-bill thread.
Do not paste the same block into twenty HOAs the same morning.
Do not claim a reduction, a refund, or that KeepTheCut files or represents anyone.
County pages (Harris, Dallas, Travis, Bexar, and the rest below) are the cleanest links if you name a CAD.
Ready-to-paste drafts
One-click copy. Swap the county link if you name one. Leave the $99/year line as-is.
Neighborhood feed. Use only where you actually live.
Original post — October bill
Hey neighbors — did anyone else’s October tax bill jump?
Texas bills mail around now. That’s the tax office collecting, not a new protest deadline. The usual May 15 window is already closed for most counties.
I’m gathering public CAD comps so I can file myself next spring when 2027 notices go out. Found a $99/year DIY evidence packet at keepthecut.com — you file with the appraisal district. They don’t represent you or promise a reduction.
If you’ve used your county’s owner portal before, any tips welcome.
Paste under someone else’s bill-shock post. Keep it short.
Comment — reply on a tax-bill thread
Same envelope here. October is the bill, not a do-over of May.
I’m using a $99/year DIY packet (KeepTheCut) so I can file myself in 2027 and keep whatever the CAD actually reduces. No savings pitch — just documents. Owner files.

When neighbors ask if they can still protest this year.
Original post — May window already closed
If the October bill stung: paying it does not reopen the protest.
Most Texas counties already closed the typical May 15 (or 30-days-after-notice) window. What you can do now is pull the public CAD record and get evidence together for 2027.
KeepTheCut is a $99/year DIY packet for that — you file, they don’t attend hearings or guarantee anything. Not a property-tax consultant.

When the thread is about protest companies taking a percentage.
Original post — keep the cut, file yourself
A lot of protest companies take 25–50% of first-year savings on their published terms. I’m not signing that.
I’m filing myself. KeepTheCut sells a $99/year evidence packet so I have the comps grid and Form 50-132 worksheet. They don’t represent me, negotiate, or promise a cut.

Question-first. Reads like a neighbor, not a listing.
Original post — has anyone filed themselves?
Has anyone here filed their own property-tax protest with the CAD — not through a company?
I’m looking at a $99/year DIY packet from KeepTheCut so I have the evidence worksheets, then I file on the owner portal. Curious if neighbors have used HCAD / DCAD / TCAD / BCAD (or yours) that way.
Not asking for a savings story. Just “did the portal actually take the upload.”

Short comment — existing thread
Not a results claim — just a $99/year DIY document pack so you file yourself. No consultant, no guaranteed reduction. keepthecut.com
